Our Team

Adventure Place offers a dynamic, enriching work and training environment. Our loyal family of staff, many of whom have been with us since our doors opened in 1972, can attest to the tremendous opportunity and personal fulfillment they have derived from working at an organization like ours. Adventure Place employs administrative personnel, teachers, early childhood specialists, and a team of child and family professionals including intake service coordinators, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, intensive behavioural intervention therapists, board certified behavioural analysts, and a music therapist.

Our overall approach and unique staff participatory management system sets us apart. All of our staff members participate in planning activities through the development of annual goals and objectives. In addition, all staff members have opportunities to ask questions, discuss, and/or make recommendations about any aspect of the agency’s services or operations.

A key aspect of the model is that job satisfaction is enhanced when staff members share decision-making responsibilities that determine policies and procedures within the agency.

Most importantly, we at Adventure Place enjoy and believe in what we do.

Staff Recognition

This month we would like to recognize Halima Mubaligh for making Adventure Place such a great place to work. Halima has worked in our Adventure Place BBN program for 17 years. Halima started as a home visitor and she is now a BBN supervisor. I have yet to pass Halima in the hall without being greeted by a big smile and a helping hand. Halima is so professional and reliable. She honours her commitments and is willing to help her colleagues no matter how busy she may be. She is such a powerful team player and a wonderful example to us all of how important it is to support each other. On behalf of all our staff, thanks, Halima!
